Claims Adjuster (과장급)

Handle Casualty claims of intermediate complexity from coverage enquiry
through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis, to timely and
accurate resolution; ensuring mitigation of indemnity and expense exposure
Provide a high standard of customer service and adherence to legal
and regulatory requirements.
Reports Casualty claim to TM and Regional Claim Manager.
Negotiates settlements of claims with insureds and 3rd parties.
Post claim reserves, and processes file openings
Report claims involving litigation, large exposure, customer's
complaints to FSS, or other issues of interest
Periodically reviews outstanding claim files assigned to him
to ensure that they are up-to-date and properly reserved
Settles claims up to his limit of authority
Coordinate with agency and IS to reasonably resolve the issues on
complicated claim.
Good specialist knowledge in Casualty technical claims topics
Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy
wording interpretation
A strong knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation /
procedural requirements for Casualty claims
Strong experience in negotiating on intermediate to high complex
claims and knowledge
Experience in effectively following up on recommendations from
technical claims audits and continuous claim handling improvement
Superior interpersonal and communication skills to effectively
manage relationship with insured and claimants.
Fluency in Korean and English languages with excellent written and
verbal skills in the business environment
