Claims Adjuster (과장급)

- Handle Casualty claims of intermediate complexity from coverage enquiry
through legal liability assessment  and quantum analysis, to timely and
accurate resolution; ensuring mitigation of indemnity and expense exposure 
- Provide a high standard of customer service and adherence to legal
and regulatory requirements.  
- Reports Casualty claim to TM and Regional Claim Manager. 
- Negotiates settlements of claims with insureds and 3rd parties. 
- Post claim reserves, and processes file openings  
- Report claims involving litigation, large exposure, customer's
complaints to FSS, or other issues of interest 
- Periodically reviews outstanding claim files assigned to him 
- to ensure that they are up-to-date and properly reserved 
- Settles claims up to his limit of authority 
- Coordinate with agency and IS to reasonably resolve the issues on
complicated claim. 
 
- Good specialist knowledge in Casualty technical claims topics  
- Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy
wording interpretation  
- A strong  knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation /
procedural  requirements for Casualty claims 
- Strong experience in negotiating on intermediate to high complex
claims and knowledge 
- Experience in effectively following up on recommendations from
technical claims audits and continuous claim handling improvement 
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills to effectively
manage relationship with insured and claimants. 
- Fluency in Korean and English languages with excellent written and
verbal skills in the business environment
